Official Rules
Registered users win points for submitting and voting on jokes.
Points are calculated as follows.
You can earn between -10 and 30 points for every joke that you submit. The actual points you earn is based on how funny other people rate your joke. If your joke is perfectly funny (4 happy faces) then you get 30 points. If your joke is completely unfunny (0 happy faces) then you get -10 points. So be careful to only submit funny jokes.
Every time you vote on a joke, you get 1 point. You can only vote once per joke.
You can report duplicates for 10 points each once you are an editor. You can also help by verifying duplicates that other users have reported. You get 1 point for each verification.
You can also correct jokes for 5 points each once you are an editor. You can also help by verifying corrections that other users have made. You get 1 point for each verification.
Awards
Users to accumulate 5,000 points are rewarded with having no advertisements shown to them on this website.
You can also get icons that appear next to your name once you have achieved certain goals. Awards are described here.
