I prefer horror books the most. Would have to say Stephen King is my favorite author.

Personally I prefer science fiction.

Michael Crichtons books (the movies do little justice) are usually simply amazing. Timeline was my favorite book for quite some time.

And if you havent already you must read Enders Game by Orson Scott Card. Its not a particularly complicated book but still enjoyable. And theres more in the series after you finish that one.

I love reading Biographies. If I read mystery or other crime stories, I can't sleep at night because i am constantly trying to think about who commited the crime.

I love all Dean Koontz and Anne Rice books. If you've never read any of thier books I think you are missing out. Anne Rice has the Vampire collection and Witches collection among others and Dean Koontz, well his stories are freaky. I can't believe some of the stuff he comes up with. That's it for me. [url]

Also, Puzzler, I think you would especially like Dean Koontz if you like horror books.[url]

Yeah that's true. Comedy should be a category. Dave Barry has written some pretty funny books. It's to bad he won't be writing for the newspaper anymore.

I like Ray Bradbury, personally, and Asimov is good, too. Short Sci-fi stories are my thing.

I agree. Dean Koontz is awesome. I collect his novels. My favorite books by Koontz are Odd Thomas and Lightning. Has anyone read his new one, Velocity yet?

Finally somebody who has some sense. Orson Scott Card ROCKS!!!!! I espesially like his recent books. Also, face it there aren't really ANY good comedy books. And you forgot political situation books.
