This is a story someone told me once, it's from their point of veiw.

Late one night, my mother called and said she was having Mother Guilt. She had never taken me to see Santa, (you know the guy in the mall) and felt terrible about it. Later that week, we were shopping together and there was a huge Christmas display with Santa right in the middle. I told my mother to stand in line and she asked, "What are we doing?" I told her we were going to Santa. And we did. I even sat in Santa's lap and told him what I want for Christmas.
And I tell ya, we looked really strange with all those little kids around us!

To the person who deleted part of my statement above.
First I find it more disrespectful to delete part of a persons statement just because you disagree withthan anything I have said. You are worse than the FCC in that your censorship is not answerable for.
Second you show more disrespect for the right to free speech than the statement of womens rights being a joke. You are attempting to make this forum something that you control and only has comments that you agree with and therefor has no true opinions due to worry of deletion.
You my friend are the most disrespectful person, and least deserving of respect on the whole of this website. Now since this comment does not put you in high regards I am sure you will delete part or all of it. Then you will probably do what you can to have my abilities on this site limited. So in my opinion the following statement relates to you.

"For me, you're somewhere between a cockroach and that white stuff that accumulates at the corner of your mouth when you're really thirsty."

Kebron,

I was the one that deleted part of your post. This is a family site and what you posted is a far cry from acceptable for this site. It's nothing personal, just that kids don't need to be seeing comments such as the one of yours that I deleted.

Sorry if you find it disrespectful that I deleted a portion of your post, but it is far more disrespectful of you to post it in the first place. Do you really think your post was acceptable for a family web site?

Well maybe you should read some info about this site, here is the link.http://web.wocka.com/terms.php

"It's nothing personal, just that kids don't need to be seeing comments such as the one of yours that I deleted."

Your claim is not believed. And nowhere on that page does it say this is a family site.

"Sorry if you find it disrespectful that I deleted a portion of your post, but it is far more disrespectful of you to post it in the first place. Do you really think your post was acceptable for a family web site?"

This is the part that applies to your last quoted remark.

Apology not accepted. I just continued the hilarity by quoting another comedian in both of my last two comments. You know hilarity. high spirits that may be carried to the point of boisterous conviviality or merriment. The purpose of this site. The comment I posted might not be acceptable for most "family web sites" but it is wholy acceptable for this site. Maybe you should really think about your comments and actions before you make them and show the level of disrespect that you are claiming others are.

So in short..... are trying to say that you find it perfectly acceptable to post derogatory remarks when it is far obvious that there are children that use this site regularly?

Derogatory remarks have always been deleted my mods on this site. If you don't agree with this, please direct your inquiry to Jake. If Jake says we can start just leaving those horrid posts on here, then fine with me. I'll hand over my mod status as I would then no longer be a part of this site.

Again you are mistaken. It is not far obvious or near obvious or anywhere between that children use this site. I will grant you that this is an open site to all who come but as I posted above in the disclaimer portion of the Terms & Conditions page

"Use of our web site is at all times "at your own risk.""

You seem to be missing that part that is why it is in its own line, for clarity.

And again for more clarity.

"If you are dissatisfied with any of the materials,.....your only remedy is to discontinue use of our web site."

All of this is in response to your question, which is moot, in the above post. As it is not "obvious" there is no correct answer, because it is an incorrect question.

I can see you 2 have different opions, and this may or may not be a family site, but at least the jokes are rated for the kids, comments aren't. Please keep replies about the story!

Kebron,

If you are that dissatisfied with puzzler, take the advice you posted. Discontinue use of the site, as moderaters are technically materials, puzzler is a moderator, and it is obvious you are dissatisfied with puzzler.

Fact is that free speech is not reserved for EVERY website, private sites have every right to decide not only what is posted on them, but who decides how exceptable it is, what to remove, and what to allow. If this does not please you, pay the monthly fees and start your own site.

Good story.

By the way, if he didn't know the rules of the site, why would he be a mod?
