Mystery
All my life has been a mystery
You and I were never ever meant to be
Thats why I call my love for you... a mystery.

Different country
You and I have always lived in different countries
And I know that airline tickets don't grow on a tree
So what kept us apart is plain for me to see
That part at least, is not really much of a mystery.

Estuary
I live on a houseboat on an estuary
Which is handy for my work with the port authority
But I'm sure you would have found it
Insanit-ery
Insanit-ery

Headed me
I am foolish to ignore the possibilty
That if we actually met, you might have a taken a really violent dislike of me
But thats not the only problem I can see

Dead since 1993
You've been dead now, wait a minute, let me see,
14 years come next Janu-a-ry
As a human beign you are history
So why do I still long for you
Why is my love so strong for you
Why did I write this song for you
Well, I guess it's just a mystery
Mystery

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, all that matters is if you like it. I liked it though.

Am I right that this is a play on that song at the end of Napoleon Dynamite? The phrasing sounds about right. Anyways, I loved it! Great job. =)

Hilarious "joke" there squire. Would be more so if it wasn't word from badly spelt word taking from the titular song by Hugh Laurie which you saw and STOLE from "Inside The Actors Studio" The song was performed originally on "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" in 1989. The correct words are "Thames Water Authority" and "1973". On the former Laurie felt it necessary to change them for the Yankee audience who of course would be non plused at the original. For your next “joke” I direct you to The Smiths song "Cemetery Gates" perhaps you could try to pass this one off. "There's always someone, somewhere, with a big nose, who knows And who trips you up and laughs when you fall Who'll trip you up and laugh when you fall” You unoriginal "bad man"
